During my time at KiwiCo, I wrote over 200 PDPs for their various "crates". Their product listings were particularly challenging in that they had to be directed towards the parent, but interesting enough so that if a kid came across it (or looked over their parents' shoulder), they would want the crate, too.
Given that KiwiCo designed colloquially products for ages 0-100, but technically for 0-18+, I first had to identify the pain points and developmental needs for the age range I was writing for, speak to the product designers, and then cross-reference with the editorial team (who wrote the crate instructions). This was a highly collaborative process, which resulted in some fun tidbits like direct quotes and asides in the "Behind the Design" section to bring the audience behind the curtain.
